Speaking to End Violence

Lee Cox, author, filmmaker, and Founder of the EVE Foundation, a non-profit organization that is committed to helping end violence everywhere.

Lee is an activist against domestic violence who shares his experiences growing up in an abusive home, becoming the abuser in his own home and his journey to healing himself. When Lee speaks, his courage, honesty, and candor motivates audiences to take action and stop domestic violence.

Lee grew up in a world of violence and unpredictability. He learned to protect himself the best he could. He learned to take care of himself because no one else would. He learned to lie, to conceal, and to cover his fear with anger and violence.

“No one knew the abuse that went on in our home, as we all learned to keep it hidden. No one knew my wish to make it stop. And later, no one knew the fear that overwhelmed me and drove me to hit and hurt the ones I loved the most.”

Lee is a devoted husband and father—what he believes are his two most important accomplishments in life.

Lee lives an extraordinary life in Montana and is committed to everyone living the extraordinary life they are entitled to.
